📌 Before the Day
➕ Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited space, we can only accommodate additional guests if availability allows.
Please let us know when you RSVP if you’d like to bring a plus one, and we’ll confirm as soon as possible.
👶 Are children welcome?
We generally lean towards an adults-only celebration, but we do make exceptions where necessary.
Please contact us so we can decide on a case-by-case basis.
🐕 Are dogs welcome?
Yes! Hackness Grange is dog-friendly — and so are we.
You’re welcome to bring your furry friend; we just kindly ask that you keep an eye on them and make sure they don’t disrupt the ceremony (or the wedding breakfast 😉).
✈️ How do I sign up for a pick-up from Manchester Airport?
Simply tick the relevant box when you RSVP and provide your flight details so we can arrange your pick-up accordingly.
🚕 Can you pick me up somewhere else?
Of course. Please include your arrival location and time when you RSVP, or contact us directly.
We’ll get back to you as soon as possible to confirm.
👗 What is the dress code?
Please wear whatever you feel good and comfortable in — we highly doubt your outfit choice could ruin our day 😉
A note for our non-Yorkshire guests:
Scarborough & Hackness are located on the northern English east coast, and even sunny June days can come with a chilly North Sea breeze. We recommend bringing a jacket — you can always leave it on your chair in the dining room if you get warm.
🎁 What about gifts?
Your presence truly is the only gift we need 🤍
If you’d still like to give something, we would greatly appreciate a contribution towards our honeymoon.
🕊️ On the Day
⏰ What time should I arrive?
The venue doors and bar open at 12:00 pm.
Please arrive no later than 12:45 pm, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 pm.
🚗 Is parking available?
Yes! Hackness Grange offers a large on-site car park with plenty of free parking spaces.
🚆 Is public transport to the venue available?
Unfortunately not.
However, please let us know if you need a lift — we’ll happily add you to one of our travel packs 😊
🌿 Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?
Outdoors! We’ll be getting married at the Pavilion by the lake, making full use of Hackness Grange’s beautiful grounds.
Should the weather not cooperate, the ceremony will be moved indoors.
📸 Can I take photos during the ceremony?
Absolutely — and please don’t forget to share them with us!
We only ask that you’re mindful of our photographer, who will also be capturing the moment.
🍾 Will the ceremony and reception be at the same location?
Yes — everything takes place at Hackness Grange.
Feel free to start celebrating as soon as you’ve parked your car 🍸
🍽️ Will there be food and drinks?
Of course!
A three-course meal will be served for our all-day guests, followed by an evening buffet for everyone.
🔮 What kind of entertainment will there be?
We’re glad you asked!
We’ve hired the wonderful Jessica Sinclair as our personal tarot reader, available from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm to offer you a glimpse into your future.
🚖 I’d like to share a taxi or car with other guests. Who do I tell?
Please note this when you RSVP.
We expect many guests to arrive by taxi and will organise travel packs so costs can be shared.
🕺 Until what time will the party go?
The bar — and the party — will end at 12:00 am.
🍸 Will there be mobile reception / Wi-Fi?
Mobile reception may be limited in some areas.
Wi-Fi will be available inside the main building.
